    • Abstract

Password managers offer users a way to generate, store, and organize strong passwords and notes. In this presentation, we will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of self-hosted password managers, highlight their key features, and explore their role in enhancing password security.  We will explore a few self-hosted password managers that are free of charge that have become popular solutions for managing passwords securely, such as: KeePass, KeePassXC, Vaultwarden, and Passbolt.   We’ll also touch on commercial (paid) options such as: Bitwarden 1Password and Dashlane and Google Password Manager.
