For the known configuration of cells, is it ok to use a step of 0 for all 5 test cases, or do you want us to advance them say 1 step for a few of the cases and then come up with the expected array by hand to test against the outputcells mod?
For the output module, one step is fine. I'd enter a non-zero number for 'step', to make sure it gets written correctly.
