When parallelizing just update_all_cells, I get a real runtime increase from 1 to 2 threads, and then a plateau. I have tried a few solutions, but dont see any improvement. Am I missing something?
It depends a lot on what you did, particularly wit the output_alive_cells function. But don't expect too much speedup.
