Is coding the formula provided for assignment 3 question 1 a) the only required way to solve the question? Or do I need to restrict the vector (whether positive) as well? Only question 1 b) specifies only negative values.
I don't understand the question. As noted in class, you may not simplify the expression. And you are only using positive values in the expression for 1a), so you do need to restrict the vector.
